The media is intent on portraying the 2020 election as a “done deal.” They’re touting cherry-picked polls that show challenger Joe Biden leading President Trump, while ignoring polls that show the two candidates neck and neck.
It’s 2016 all over again, and we saw how that worked out for Democrats.
But the latest poll has to be creating some apprehension in the Biden campaign no matter how the media spins it. A new survey by the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research shows that Trump fans are much more enthusiastic than Biden supporters about voting in November – and the margin isn’t close.
The Hill reports:
…42 percent of Trump supporters polled described themselves as excited heading into the election, while 31 percent of Biden supporters said the same.
Nearly three-quarters of Biden’s supporters, 72 percent, also described themselves as anxious about the election, compared to 52 percent of Trump backers who said the same.
And 65 percent of Biden supporters surveyed said they are frustrated about the upcoming election, compared to 45 percent of Trump supporters.
For any thinking Democrat, these numbers should be a massive red flag. Democrats lost in 2016 because they weren’t enthusiastic about Hillary Clinton as a candidate.
They might be facing a similar fate in November 2020.
