Kyle Rittenhouse was acquitted on all charges after shooting three people during the Kenosha, Wisconsin riots last year. Now it’s time to hold those who spoke out against him accountable.
Rittenhouse slammed NBA superstar LeBron James for mocking him on social media as the teen was on trial for his life, Breitbart reported. James insisted in a tweet that Rittenhouse wasn’t really crying but “ate some lemon heads before walking into court.”
James has landed in hot water before for a similarly moronic take on a high-profile case in April. After Columbus Police Officer Nicholas Reardon shot an Ohio teen who was about to stab another girl, James shared the officer’s picture with the words, “YOU’RE NEXT #ACCOUNTABILITY,” the UK Daily Mail reported.
The tweet set off a firestorm of criticism, and James was forced to walk back his statement that some considered a call to violence against the officer and an unfair assessment of the situation. Unfortunately, James didn’t learn his lesson when it came to Rittenhouse.
What tears????? I didn’t see one. Man knock it off! That boy ate some lemon heads before walking into court. 🤣🤣🤣 https://t.co/LKwYssIUmD

The video James was referring to was when Rittenhouse broke down in tears while testifying on his own behalf at his trial. The teen was charged with homicide after killing two men and wounding a third though he argued it was in self-defense, according to Fox News.
Rittenhouse was asked to reflect on the events that led to his trial — and James’s response to it — on Blaze TV’s “You Are Here” Monday. “I was a Lakers fan too before he said that,” Rittenhouse said about James’ Nov. 10 tweet. “I was really pissed off when he said that because I liked LeBron, and then I’m like, you know, ‘F— you, LeBron.”
The teen had traveled to Kenosha during the unrest on Aug. 25, 2020, a decision that many questioned after the shooting. “Hindsight being 20/20, probably not the best idea to go down there,” Rittenhouse said. “Can’t change that, but I defended myself and that’s what happened,” he said.
Pro athletes seem to think their opinions are valuable, but most of the time what they have to say is uninformed garbage. James was burned by it after not learning that the first time, and he has once again made a fool of himself.
