Douglas Emhoff’s legal firm‘s deep ties to China might explain the Democrat party’s choice of Kamala Harris as vice presidential running mate for Joe Biden. It certainly wasn’t her ability to win. After a great start last summer, Harris didn’t even make it to the first Democrat presidential primary. So why put Harris next in line for the presidency?
Harris’s husband, Emhoff, became a partner at DLA Piper Global in 2017. He appears first on a list of over 1,500 partners at the international law firm. The firm spends millions each year lobbying Washington. Emhoff’s firm’s profile praises his insider status: “Doug’s influence and achievements as an insider across many spectrums has made him one of California’s go-to lawyers for several decades.”
According to Newsmax:
Douglas Emhoff, 55, has taken a leave of absence from DLA Piper, the Los Angeles-based law firm where he has worked for three years, specializing in a variety of subjects, including intellectual property and technology, litigation, arbitration and investigations, and also sports, media and entertainment.
With the Democrats, it seems that all things lead to China. The Democrats in power have protected China from criticism about spreading COVID-19. Biden just recently reiterated that all the death and economic destruction wrought by the Wuhan coronavirus is Donald Trump’s fault, not China’s.
The most powerful Democrat, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), even admitted on CNN that China prefers a Biden presidency.

Biden deflected negative criticism of China, saying, “Come on, man. I mean, you know, they’re not bad folks, folks. But guess what, they’re not competition for us.”
Democrat megadonor and former presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg defended China’s leader and told a CNN anchor that Xi Jinping was not a dictator:
The Communist Party wants to stay in power in China and they listen to the public,” Bloomberg said. “When the public says ‘I can’t breathe the air,’ Xi Jinping is not a dictator. He has to satisfy his constituents, or he’s not going to survive.”
Diane Feinstein’s driver of 20 years was a Chinese spy. Feinstein sits on the Senate Select Intelligence Committee and at times was its chairman. How much information did the Chinese government obtain from her?
These same powerful Democrats have spent years deflecting attention from China and blaming Russia for interference in US elections and other nefarious deeds while ignoring the powerful inroads China has made in government, real estate purchases in the US, intellectual property theft, spying, culture, and trade.
Now, the only thing standing between the Democrats and China is the Trump presidency.
