Vice President Kamala Harris was finally forced to admit to Americans that she will visit the nation’s southern border “at some point” as the nation continues to seek answers from the person appointed as President Joe Biden’s leader to the growing immigration crisis.
“I’ve been to the border before, I will go again,” Harris told reporters on Tuesday, according to the Epoch Times.
“You can’t say you care about the border without caring about the root causes. I don’t think that anybody thinks that that would be the solution,” Harris added.
Texas Republican Rep. Tony Gonzales responded in a tweet, “Visiting our border is NOT a grand gesture. It means seeing communities that are hurting because of the White House’s absentee leadership.”
I get calls & texts daily from local officials who need help & are looking to our federal government for leadership.

Ohio Republican Rep. Brad Wenstrup added a tweet featuring Harris stumbling to answer the border visit question during an interview with NBC’s Lester Holt. He said, “If she was serious about fixing the border, she would at least visit it.”
It’s been 75 days since President Biden named VP Harris “border czar.” She refuses to visit the border to see the consequences of this administration’s words and actions. If she was serious about fixing the border, she would at least visit it. https://t.co/e5s2OrisWW https://t.co/eeJQ998rlw

Harris may have agreed to a future visit, but her gesture is too late for many Americans frustrated with the Biden administration’s harmful immigration policies.
