Vice President Kamala Harris threatened Russian President Vladimir Putin with “severe consequences” from the U.S. on Friday if he invades Ukraine.
“We remain of course supportive of diplomacy as it relates to the dialogue and discussions we’ve had with Russia, but we are also committed to taking corrective actions to ensure there will be severe consequences in terms of the sanctions we have discussed,” Harris said ahead of her meeting in Europe with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, according to Breitbart News.

President Joe Biden had previously said he expects Russia will invade Ukraine within a matter of days.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke out after Harris shared the remarks, saying that consequences after an invasion would be “too late” for their nation.
Instead, he has urged Harris and other world leaders to intervene before an invasion takes place.
