No matter how awful, leftists are always safe in the knowledge that the mainstream media will prop them up. That’s changing for Vice President Kamala Harris, who is so terrible, it’s impossible for even the friendly media to ignore.
Establishment media outlets have been covering the toxic and volatile environment that has plagued Harris’s office, The Washington Times reported. The vice president has lost four high-ranking aides as rumors continue to swirl.
These kinds of reports are not necessarily rare for Democrats, but they certainly are when coming from mainstream news outlets. The Washington Post, a mouthpiece for the political left, published an article last week detailing the problems as well as calling Harris’s political future into question.
The news outlet took it as a sign that Symone Sanders resigned from her position as the vice president’s spokesperson. Her exit will come at the end of the year, and Sanders will take a “break” instead of transitioning to a new position, which could be a telling fact.
Sanders and the three others leaving insist it doesn’t have anything to do with Harris’s behavior or work environment. However, Harris has been plagued with high staff turnover during her political career, and it seems her position as vice president has done little to alter that.
“It’s clear that you’re not working with somebody who is willing to do the prep and the work,” a former member told the Post. “With Kamala, you have to put up with a constant amount of soul-destroying criticism and also her own lack of confidence. So you’re constantly sort of propping up a bully and it’s not really clear why.”
Her unpopularity extends well beyond her inner circle, however. A recent USA TODAY/Suffolk Poll found only 28% of voters approve of Harris less than a year into the Biden-Harris administration, Fox News reported.
Harris may go down as the worst vice president in modern history, and even the mainstream media can’t deny it. If she can’t turn this ship around — and all indications point to the fact that she’s incapable of doing just that — the Democrats will suffer in the 2022 midterms and beyond.
