Vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris was just publically called out by former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker over her decision to visit with Jacob Blake’s family last week.
Walker noted that Harris made a point to promote her visit and conversation with Blake’s family after he was shot by law enforcement officers in Kenosha, Wisconsin in August, and asked if she would render the same consideration for the two LA county sheriffs deputies that were ambushed in Compton on Saturday evening.
Harris, who has been a California senator since 2017, issued a cursory acknowledgement of the incident via Twitter on Sunday, saying that she is “keeping the two Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies in our hearts as they currently fight for their lives after a horrific attack last night.”
“The perpetrator must be brought to justice,” she added. Harris rapidly moved on to promoting an upcoming joint fundraiser with failed 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
Walker ripped Harris’s blatant partisanship in regard to the two incidents, tweeting:
Will @kamalaharris visit deputies who were shot (31-year-old mom & 24 year-old) in her state? She visited someone in WI who was charged with felony 3rd-degree sexual assault and said she was proud of him. She & @JoeBiden need to side with law enforcement and denounce radicals.
Harris reportedly told Blake she was “proud” of him and praised his family after the meeting. Blake still faces sexual assault charges to which he has pled “not guilty.”
The LA shooting suspect is still at large as the two rookie deputies fight for their lives in an LA-area hospital. Harris has repeatedly expressed solidarity with Black Lives Matter protesters. BLM protesters gathered outside the hospital at which the deputies are being treated, calling for their deaths and agitating for further violence.
Breitbart reported that roughly a dozen of the protesters were arrested, and law enforcement officers recovered knives, poles, and fireworks from those they arrested at the scene. Harris and Biden have remained silent about the sickening “protests.”
