Justice Thomas says court can’t be bullied following leak

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas argued last week that the court cannot be bullied.

Thomas shared the comments during a judicial conference on Friday.

“We can’t be an institution that can be bullied into giving you just the outcomes you want. The events from earlier this week are a symptom of that,” Thomas said.

“The events from earlier this week are a symptom of that,” he added.

The comments come after Politico published a leaked opinion by Justice Samuel Alito regarding a case that could overturn Roe v. Wade. The case could overturn the nearly 50-year precedent in a move that would mark a new era in the pro-life battle.

The outcome of the current pro-life case remains to be decided. If the leaked draft stands, decisions regarding abortion laws will return to states, allowing new changes regarding the pro-life battle.
