Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett responded to a heckler during a speaking event this month by claiming that she’s used to distractions as a mom of seven children.

The exchange occurred during an event at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation in California.

“Amy Coney Barrett, you are an enslaver of women!” the heckler called out.

“Fortunately, as a mother of seven, I am used to distractions, and sometimes even outbursts,” Barrett responded.

The humorous and quick response led to a swift way to end the situation and move forward with her discussion. She also used the incident to discuss some of the opposition she faced during her nomination process to become a justice.

Despite pushback from the left, Barrett’s addition, along with the recent addition of Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, gives the Supreme Court four women, a new milestone in the history of the nation.
