Judge rules that Marjorie Taylor Greene is eligible for re-election

Democrats have sought to weaponize the incursion at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, to knock out Republicans. Unfortunately for them, it didn’t work this time.

A Georgia judge has ruled that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is indeed eligible to run for re-election, the Washington Examiner reported. The matter will now go to Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger for the final decision on the fate of the Georgia Republican.

Raffensperger faces his own re-election and is not expected to disqualify Greene. He’s already in a precarious position after refusing to take seriously claims that the 2020 presidential election was rife with irregularities.

Greene’s candidacy was in jeopardy after a group of voters wanted her removed for her alleged role in the Jan. 6 incident. This was based on a provision in Section 3 of the 14th Amendment that disqualifies from office anyone who “shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the” nation or “given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.”

The Georgia lawmaker was grilled last month about her involvement in the incident. She used that opportunity to strike back at her opponents, who were dead set on making Jan. 6 a monumental issue while ignoring the unrest that took place in the summer of 2020.

“I only knew what I was told,” Greene said about her experience inside the Capitol the day of the incursion, according to the Washington Post. “I’d heard — I’d heard a gunshot. We all heard it,” she said.

“And we were so confused. We thought antifa was breaking in or [Black Lives Matter] because those were the riots that had gone on all throughout 2020, day in and day out, just horrible riots all over the country,” Green pointed out. “That was the only thing that made sense to most of us.”

If Jan. 6 and opposition to former President Donald Trump were winning issues for Democrats, Greene would be the perfect low-hanging fruit to knock out. The fact that she has survived this challenge means the left’s only weapon is virtually useless.

I think Greene should sue the person or persons who tried to prevent her from running for office. Their action(s) are/were frivolous!
