Judge asks why intelligence agent wasn't charged in Matt Gaetz extortion case

A judge overseeing the case for an extortion case involving Rep. Matt Gaetz's father has asked why the intelligence agent was not charged.

The case involved a State Department contractor named Bob Kent who was closely involved in the action of the case.

"Bob Kent is a former Air Force intelligence officer who has admitted to soliciting Don Gaetz for $25 million, which he claimed would be to free Robert Levinson, an American held captive by Iran," Breitbart News reported.

"That claim was included in the litigation, but part of the deal was the offer of a pardon," it added.

The concerning issue is now being discussed in court, though it appears Kent will not face legal actions for his role.

The case also shows that the State Department is active in at least some targeting of American conservatives, a disturbing development ahead of the nation's midterms.
