U.S. President Joe Biden's schedule reveals a major reason why he ought not to be reelected in 2024 - or even running for reelection. 

Biden announced that he will be seeking another term as president last week. And, shortly thereafter, Axios released a report, titled, Biden's age trap: Risks of running at 80. 

Biden, should he win a second term, would almost be 82 at the beginning of that term and 86 at its end. Even more important than the numbers is the fact that Biden has already been showing signs of aging.

Americans are aware of this. Recent polling from Harvard Harris, for example, found that 67% of Americans believe that Biden is too old to be president and that 56% have concerns about Biden's mental fitness.

Axios, in its report, takes up the issue of Biden's age. And, the outlet cites "Biden's close advisers" as conceding that Biden's "age has diminished his energy, significantly limiting his schedule."

Axios reports:

Some White House officials say it's difficult to schedule public or private events with the president in the morning, in the evening, or on weekends: The vast majority of Biden’s public events happen on weekdays, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

This comes after former White House press secretary Jen Psaki revealed that "President Biden does nothing at 9 a.m."

Axios goes on to provide further details about Biden's schedule.

Per the outlet:

A breakdown of Biden's schedule so far in 2023 reveals how his staff tries to ensure he's at his best: Only four public events before 10 a.m. Just a dozen public events after 6 p.m. — mostly dinners and receptions with foreign leaders or fundraisers. 12 full weekends with no public events.

The New York Post points out that the schedule presented by Axios "works out to a 30-hour workweek — even less than the official 35-hour workweek in France."

This begs the question: Could America be run by a person working only 30 hours per week? How many hours is Biden going to work at 82? How about 85? Who is going to actually be running the country?

It's clear that Biden's age is going to be a significant factor heading into the 2024 presidential election.

Biden recently addressed the issue.

Referring to his age, he said:

I respect [Americans] taking a hard look at it — I'd take a hard look at it, as well. I took a hard look at it before I decided to run, and I feel good. I feel excited about the prospects.
