All eyes are on New York as former President Donald Trump faces a bevy of politically-motivated charges related to a 2016 hush money payment, the Conservative Brief reported. Meanwhile, the scandal involving President Joe Biden's mishandling of classified documents has just gotten worse.
Trump's presence at a Manhattan federal court this week brought a media circus to the Big Apple. The leftist media breathlessly anticipate the one big moment when they will finally get the former president on anything they can scrape up.
Reports say that the former president "glared at" the Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who indicted him, during proceedings. However, picking apart the finer points of this situation seems to be one big distraction from Biden's worsening scandal.
House Oversight Committee James Comer said testimony from Biden's former executive assistant Kathy Chung fundamentally changed the timeline of the document scandal. The Kentucky Republican spoke about it on Fox News' "Jesse Watters Primetime" Tuesday.

Previously, the White House claimed documents were discovered at the Penn Biden Center in Washington, D.C., in November but that it wasn't publicized until January. Now Chung stated that the administration was looking to recover the documents as early as last spring.
Comer said her transcribed testimony confirmed that "the documents didn’t just start mysteriously moving around in November 2022, like the White House has alleged," he told Watters. "She said this dates back to May of 2022, that the documents were moved from the vice presidency to at least three different locations in a personal vehicle," Comer said.
"And why they were in three different locations, we don’t know," he added. “They weren’t stored behind any locks," Comer said, shattering the previous narrative.
The White House copped to the fact that mishandled documents were found at Biden's former office from his time as vice president after a media report emerged in January. However, he and his surrogates claimed the material was kept in a locked closet, a fact which Chung now disputes.
"One of the locations was in Chinatown. The other location was in the Penn Biden Center, which might as well have been Chinatown, by looking at where their money was coming from," Comer quipped.
"The White House has never been honest with the American people," he continued. "Remember, we never would have found out about this in March of 2023 if someone hadn’t leaked it in the press," Comer added.
"So the White House then came back and said, ‘Yeah, that happened in November, December of 2022," Comer recalled. "We don’t know how many locations he had," the congressman continued.
"We don’t know what those documents were. We’re very suspicious that his son sent one of those in an email to Ukraine, to his buddies at Burisma," Comer added, alluding to another scandal involving the president's son Hunter Biden.
“This is another example of a two-tiered system of justice in America." While the media ignored or downplayed Joe Biden's document scandal and his son's shady business dealings, Trump could still be indicted over boxes recovered from the former president's Mar-a-Lago home.
Biden is clearly guilty of at least the same magnitude of infraction as Trump when it comes to classified materials being mishandled. However, all eyes remain fixed on Trump as the left wishes and hopes to see the former president behind bars -- and that's just wrong.
