Joe Biden spent about 40% of 2022 in Camp David, in Delaware, or on vacation

President Joe Biden traveled to Delaware, Camp David, and other vacation spots for almost 40% of 2022.

The president spent 32 days at Camp David and 92 days, or half days, at one of his Delaware estates, according to a Daily Caller review of Biden's 2022 public calendar, according to The Daily Caller.

In addition, Biden spent seven days on vacation in South Carolina, five days on vacation in Nantucket, and five days on vacation in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

This totaled 141 vacation days for Biden or 38.6% of his first full calendar year.

Former presidents have also taken vacations to their favorite places, including George W. Bush to his ranch in Texas, Donald Trump to Mar-a-Lago and New Jersey, and Barack Obama to Martha's Vineyard.

However, according to data gathered by former CBS White House Correspondent Mark Knoller, Biden's stats are on course to surpass those of every president, CNN reported.

Knoller reported that his time working from Delaware had already surpassed Trump's in October.

According to Knoller, if Biden is elected again and continues making trips to Delaware, his vacation time will significantly outpace that of Obama, Bush, and Reagan.

The White House has maintained that Biden has the "right to spend time with his family" and that the presidency may be carried out from locations other than Washington, D.C.

“The presidency is a nonstop job that chief executives can do from anywhere in the world. And regardless of location, he has taken fewer vacation days than the modern norm,” White House deputy press secretary Andrew Bates has said.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre defended Biden’s time away from the Oval Office in August, saying, “he was going to go spend time with his family which every president does.

"That is not unusual, that is not uncommon to do and the president has a right to spend time with his family just like every other American across the country.”

Biden has a habit of skipping payments on the opulent homes he stays in while on vacation. He vacationed with his family for a week in August in Kiawah Island, South Carolina, staying at Democratic donor Maria Allwin's $20 million mansion, according to the New York Post.

According to the outlet, Biden stayed at wealthy private equity investor David Rubenstein's $20 million home in Nantucket, Massachusetts. The Post reported the president stayed at the St. Croix property owned by Bill and Connie Neville, two affluent contributors who were invited to the State Dinner with Emmanuel Macron of France.
