Joe Biden plans to name Jeff Zients as next Chief of Staff to Replace Ron Klain

The White House's reaction to the Chinese coronavirus was overseen by Jeff Zients, who will be President Joe Biden's chief of staff, the Washington Post reported on Sunday.

He will take Ron Klain's place, who is anticipated to depart the administration in the coming weeks, according to a Breitbart News story.

Notably, Biden chose Zients to be his chief of staff while disregarding the rest of his diverse team, which includes Susan Rice, a woman of color, and Anita Dunn, a senior adviser who is female. Biden has attempted to improve "diversity" in his administration.

During his time in the Biden administration, as previously reported by Breitbart News, Zients managed the coordination of the White House's coronavirus response with Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. Rochelle Walensky, the director of the Centers for Disease Control.

Additionally, under Zients, the Biden administration was caught off guard by the advent of new coronavirus strains, which eventually left the country unprepared.

However, Zients appears to have resumed his work in the White House with Klain since last fall, when he was assisting in the planning for the midterm election-related staff turnover, which turned out to be minimal because so few senior staff members left.

According to people with knowledge of the matter who talked to the Post, Klain recently gave Zients a number of duties, which some have interpreted as Zients being prepared for the top role.

As Biden started to face new obstacles during his administration, The Post noted that Zients would succeed Klain.

A Republican-controlled House of Republicans that expected to launch many investigations on the president and his administration, including at least one looking into his son Hunter's financial affairs, is one of the battlegrounds.

Over the past few weeks, Biden has been involved in a number of problems and has come under fire for handling sensitive information poorly.

Between 25 and 20 documents, according to sources, were found in Biden's vice presidential office at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement, located in Washington, DC, not far from Capitol Hill, as well as other places, such as his home in Delaware.

In addition, Breitbart News reported that Biden hasn't officially said whether he'll run for office again in 2024, despite the fact that he was purportedly on the verge of doing so while on vacation with his family.

Before joining Vice President Joe Biden's administration as the White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator, he previously held a number of positions in President Barack Obama's administration.

He has worked at the Office of Management and Budget, the National Economic Council, and as the president's assistant for economic policy (OMB).
