Joe Biden Names Failed OMB nominee Neera Tanden to replace Susan Rice

Friday, President Joe Biden replaced Susan Rice with Neera Tanden, his failed nominee for the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), as his domestic policy advisor at the White House, according to Breitbart News.

Tanden, a Hillary Clinton supporter with a checkered past, was compelled to withdraw her 2021 nomination to lead the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), a position requiring Senate confirmation, due to her past controversial statements and volatile behavior.

The White House noted the long-time official's record working for multiple administrations during her time in Washington when they announced the personnel change.

"I am pleased to announce that Neera Tanden will continue to drive the formulation and implementation of my domestic policy, from economic mobility and racial equity to health care, immigration and education," Biden said.

"As Senior Advisor and Staff Secretary, Neera oversaw decision-making processes across my domestic, economic and national security teams.

"She has 25 years of experience in public policy, has served three Presidents, and led one of the largest think tanks in the country for nearly a decade. She was a key architect of the Affordable Care Act and helped drive key domestic policies that became part of my agenda, including clean energy subsidies and sensible gun reform ... I look forward to continuing to work closely with Neera in her new role."

Breitbart News previously noted that Tanden famously derided Biden as a "mess" in a 2015 email to Hillary Clinton's campaign manager John Podesta, contending that the former vice president's blunders made Clinton appear to be a more qualified presidential candidate.

During the 2016 Democratic primary, she frequently disparaged Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and his supporters.

After serving in the White House under President Bill Clinton, Tanden directed the left-leaning Center for American Progress, where he solicited funds from foreign interests and corporate donors to promote left-leaning policy.

Tanden was also disparaged by Center for American Progress staff after she disclosed the identity of an anonymous victim alleging sexual harassment during a staff meeting.

Tanden was the associate director for domestic policy at the Clinton White House and also served as a counselor to Hillary Clinton. During the Obama administration, she also served as a senior advisor at the Department of Health and Human Services.

In 2008, Tanden allegedly assaulted a journalist who inquired about her vote on the Iraq War and already held the exceedingly influential position of Staff Secretary in the administration.

Rice, whom she will be replacing, is notorious for her propensity to lie, most notably in the Benghazi terror attack cover-up.

Prior to joining the Biden White House as director of the Domestic Policy Council, a position for which she lacked experience, she had a lengthy record of foreign policy failures. It was rumored that she was using her position to exert undue influence on the administration.
