Joe Biden is losing control in the White House, staffers and Press Secretary Psaki are working overtime to cover it up

President Joe Biden is not really with us mentally. It seems the main job of White House press secretary Jen Psaki is to clean up after him.

Psaki recently contradicted Biden’s earlier promise to side with Taiwan against China in the event of military action from the communist adversary, the Daily Caller reported. This is the most recent in a string of situations where staff has walked back claims made by the president leaving questions about who is in charge.

During the CNN town hall Thursday, a bumbling Biden promised to use the National Guard to assist with backups at U.S. ports that have added to supply chain woes as well as the promise to Taiwan. However, Psaki walked back the claims the following day.

“There has been no shift,” Psaki said Friday about the administration’s approach to the problem in Taiwan. “The president was not announcing a change in our policy, nor has he made a decision to change our policy. There is no change in our policy. Our defense relationship with Taiwan is guided by the Taiwan Relations Act,” she claimed.

As for the use of the National Guard to help with the shipping crisis, Psaki told reporters that it would be Biden’s prerogative. “Any president has the ability to use the National Guard from the federal level,” she said. “Requesting the use of the National Guard at the state level, which is often how it’s done, is under the purview of governors,” Psaki further explained. “And we’re not actively asking them to do that, and we’re not actively pursuing the use of the National Guard on a federal level.”

The most serious walk back had to do with the disaster that followed Biden’s withdrawal from Afghanistan in August. While the president claimed his advisors made no mention of keeping troops in the beleaguered country, Gen. Kenneth McKenzie, who heads the U.S. Central Command, testified to Congress that he recommended 2,500 troops remain.

The most troubling aspect of this all is that Biden is seldom allowed to speak off-script, often admitting he’s not “supposed to” take questions or speaking about who he is “instructed to call on,” Fox News reported. Nobody knows who’s really calling the shots, but it doesn’t seem to be Biden since Psaki so often contradicts him.

It’s frightening that the leader of the free world is little more than a puppet, and that’s what it seems like based on his statements. What’s more frightening is that nobody knows exactly who is pulling the strings.
