Joe Biden assembling board of high-profile Democrats to ensure victory in 2024

President Joe Biden's reelection team has assembled a "national advisory board" of high-profile Democrats to deal with the anticipated threats to his 2024 prospects, Breitbart reported. He's expected to formally announce his reelection bid next month.

Biden was set to announce his plans to run in February but was since pushed back. Now his handlers are attempting to use the lag to implement a strategy to shore up his prospects.

There are many problems Biden is facing in his reelection, not the least of which is his age. If reelected, Biden will be 82 when he takes office for his second term.

"Nobody wants to be the one to do something that would undermine the chances of a Democratic victory in 2024," Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN) reportedly told Politico. "Yet in quiet rooms the conversation is just the opposite — we could be at a higher risk if this path is cleared."

With voters already concerned about the octogenarian's ability to govern, Biden's aides have crafted a plan to make him more palatable. Biden will need all the help he can get as he will be vulnerable in a general election or even could get knocked out in the primary election.

To address these dangers, Biden's team enlisted high-profile Democrats willing to shill for Biden. So far, 20 Democratic politicians have signed on to the effort.

They are to make appearances and speak highly of Biden to soften the ground when he announces his reelection bid. Democratic governors in his corner include Govs. Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan, Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania, Gavin Newsom of California, Wes Moore of Maryland, J.B. Pritzker of Illinois, and Phil Murphy of New Jersey.

He also picked up staunch Congressional leftists he previously sparred with like Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Rep. Ro Khanna of California. Khanna believes the key to Biden's victory is sharing some of his so-called "historic achievements" to counterbalance his lagging approval numbers.

"The president has had some of the most historic achievements in bringing back manufacturing jobs and helping the working and middle class in the last 50 years," Khanna said, according to the Washington Post. "Our challenge is to get that message out to factory towns, to rural communities and communities of color."

"We need 20, 30 surrogates from the party going out there in communities, telling stories to communicate this vision," Khanna claimed. However, it will take more than a public relations campaign to overcome Biden's deficits.

A recent poll found that 58% of Democrats and independents who lean Democrat would rather have a different nominee for 2024. What's worse is that only 31% of respondents chose Biden outright for the job.

On the national level, a poll of all Americans found that 62% claimed Biden's reelection would make them feel "dissatisfied" or "angry." There's not much a couple dozen surrogates can do to overcome that festering sentiment.

However, one hope for Biden is that he could get help from the infighting in the Republican Party. Former President Donald Trump may go scorched earth on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis or other candidates if he doesn't get the nomination, killing the GOP's chances entirely.

Biden will face many challenges in the run-up to the 2024 presidential election. It's clear that the American people don't like him, and his own party doesn't want him.
