Dr. Jill Biden’s ex-husband, Bill Stevenson, just came forward and accused the Joe and Jill Biden of having an affair while Stevenson and Jill Biden were still married.
In a Monday interview with the Daily Mail, Stevenson revealed that Jill’s affair with Joe was the cause of the demise of Jill Biden’s first marriage — contrary to Joe and Jill’s story about how their relationship began.
“I genuinely don’t want to harm Jill’s chances of becoming first lady,” Stevenson told the Mail. “She would make an excellent first lady, but this is my story. It’s not a bitter book — I’m not bitter because if it wasn’t for my divorce, I would never have met my wife Linda, and she’s the greatest thing in my life — but it does have facts in it that aren’t pleasant to Jill and Joe.”
“People ask me how I can go back 40 years, but I am not. I’m going back 72 years to tell my life story,” he continued.
The Bidens and Stevenson met in 1972 while Stevenson and his then-wife, Jill, worked on Joe Biden’s senate campaign. Biden was married to his first wife Neilia at the time.
Stevenson said he knew Biden and his former wife were having an affair when a customer at his workplace told him that Joe Biden had been spotted driving in his wife’s brown Corvette with her.
“I was at work, and a guy came in and asked: ‘Do you own a brown Corvette?’ I said, ‘Yes, it’s my wife’s car.’ He said back in May it had crunched his bumper and they told him to get an estimate, and he never heard back from them,” Stevenson explained. “I said: ‘Wait a minute. Who is they?’ And he said: ‘Funnily enough, Sen. Biden was driving.”
According to Jill Biden’s Wikipedia page, she and Joe met in 1975 after being set up on a blind date by Biden’s brother, Frank — after Jill and Stevenson’s marriage had dissolved in 1974.
Neither Jill nor Joe Biden has responded to Stevenson’s claims at the time this report was published.
