“The man suspected of being behind the planned assassination was Mansour Rassouli, a member of Unit 840 of the elite Quds Force of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, which is in charge of overseas operations. He was arrested in Europe and interrogated by the Mossad,” Breitbart News reported.
🚨🇸🇾Important Update: Russian intelligence helped Syria thwart #assassination attempt during #Eidulfitr2022 prayers. Surprisingly a terror group affiliated with Iran’s Quds force was behind the assassination attempt on Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad.

“In a recording obtained by the press, Rassouli is heard expressing regret over the assassination plot: ‘I made a mistake. From now on I will not make any further moves in matters like this, I swear on my mother’s life, my daughter’s life, my family’s life. It was a mistake on my part, I will never repeat this mistake with God’s help,'” it added.
The public sharing of the information “was intended to grease the wheels of public opinion – in Israel, the U.S., and the world – against the Iranian Revolutionary Guards and the possibility of removing the organization from the American list of terror organizations,” Israeli publication The Haaretz reported.
Hope U.S. outlets do some digging into this story, especially with an alleged #Iran assassination attempt of an American general. That’s an explosive claim that deserves to breakthrough the 24/7 Ukraine coverage.https://t.co/KoKQRctaHf

“The second goal was to humiliate the regime in Tehran: While Iran struggles to carry out attacks on Israeli targets abroad, ‘Mossad investigators’ are working efficiently on Iranian soil, making arrests and exposing the regime’s intelligence plots,” it added.
