The legal battles waged by President Donald Trump’s attorneys continue to be fought across multiple swing states, but at this point — short of a few miracles — Trump’s odds of retaining the White House for a second term are seemingly dwindling by the day.
Apparently, the president is well aware of the growing possibility of a loss, as according to the Washington Examiner, White House insiders are quietly admitting that Trump is already planning his next moves, including a potential 2024 run, if he’s forced to turn over the keys to the Oval Office.
However, a Trump exit from the White House will likely not happen prior to the conclusion of his many ongoing legal battles.
“The president has every legal right to bring whatever cases he has to the courts and follow the legal path, which is what you are supposed to do if you have an issue with an election,” one of the insiders reportedly said.
At this point, Trump, his inner-circle and his army of lawyers are focused on exposing and proving cases of voter and ballot fraud, if for anything to ensure the integrity of future elections.
Before the president even considers a concession call to former Vice President Joe Biden, the insider reported that the results in Georgia seem to be at the top of priority list, as the state is currently undergoing a vote recount.
“I suspect that once those cases are heard and adjudicated, and once we get through the Georgia recount, that the president will begin the public off-ramp,” the insider reportedly said.
As all of that takes place over the next weeks and months, the president in the meantime has continued to tell his millions of social media followers that he believes the election was rigged and has repeatedly stated that he will, in fact, emerge victorious once the legal dust settles.
According to The Hill, Trump made headlines on Sunday morning with a tweet in which he acknowledged Biden as the winner, although he suggested that the former vice president only won because the election was “rigged” and accused the mainstream media of being complicit.
He won because the Election was Rigged. NO VOTE WATCHERS OR OBSERVERS allowed, vote tabulated by a Radical Left privately owned company, Dominion, with a bad reputation & bum equipment that couldn’t even qualify for Texas (which I won by a lot!), the Fake & Silent Media, & more! https://t.co/Exb3C1mAPg

Only time will tell how the post-election mess shakes out, but it’s beginning to look more and more like Trump is willing to admit that 2020 isn’t going to work out as he, or his millions of supporters, wished it would.
