Illegal immigrants cite Joe Biden as the reason they came to America

Illegal immigrants just told the Daily Caller that President Joe Biden and his lax immigration policies are the reason why they came to America.

Per the outlet:

Several migrants who crossed the border illegally into El Paso told the Daily Caller News Foundation that President Joe Biden and his policies were the reason they came.

For its report, the Daily Caller cites three different illegal immigrants with whom it spoke.

One individual, who is described as "one illegal immigrant from Venezuela," told the outlet, "we sold everything to come here because President Biden told us to come and now we can’t return because we are targets for leaving."

Another illegal immigrant named Joshua, who is also from Venezuela, affirmed this.

He told the Daily Caller:

President Biden had good policies because he allowed in people from Central and South America. Unfortunately, the policies changed. But, in general, I think he gives us all a chance because we deserve it. Many people have given their word just like me as we left our countries of origin to arrive here to the United States.

A final female illegal immigrant from Venezuela is quoted as telling the Daily Caller, "We do not want to stay in El Paso, but it is very difficult to leave. They are suggesting for us to wait until tomorrow to see what news President Biden gives us."

If there were any doubts about the cause of the surge in illegal immigration that we have seen over the past two years, this reporting from the Daily Caller ought to eliminate those doubts.

Fox News reports:

There were more than 2.3 million migrant encounters in FY 2022 alone, topping the then-historic 1.7 million encountered in FY 2021. So far in FY 2023, which began in October, the first two months have outpaced the same period last year — with 233,740 encounters in November, compared to 174,845 in 2021 and 73,994 in 2020.

Biden has faced renewed criticism as of late regarding the southern border crisis, and, unlike previous criticism, some big-name Democrats have joined in.

Biden, in response, has unveiled a plan to address the southern border crisis. The plan has many different aspects to it. But, in general, it looks to discourage illegal immigration and create more channels for legal immigration.

In response to the criticism, Biden also announced a trip to the southern border. Biden made that trip over the weekend.

Critics are not buying either the plan or the trip.

Biden insists, "Our problems at the border didn’t arise overnight. And they won’t be solved overnight."
