Local authorities were notified by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding a potential child pornography crime. Once the location was determined, Fairfax County Police became involved.
Bieret is employed as a program manager for the sergeant-at-arms in the House of Representatives.
“Bieret was arrested and charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography and was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and held without bond,” a local Fox affiliate reported.
“Detectives will continue to examine the digital evidence that was recovered from the scene and consult with the Office of the Fairfax Commonwealth’s Attorney for any additional charges,” it added.
The news comes as sad news to those on Capitol Hill. The investigation is ongoing and more charges could be added.
