Hillary Clinton uses Madeleine Albright’s funeral to score political points

It is often said that Democrats never let a crisis – or a somber event – go to waste, and Hillary Clinton was guilty of that very type of nasty pragmatism on Wednesday when she seized upon the occasion of former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright’s funeral to take a thinly-veiled swipe at former President Donald Trump, as the New York Post reports.

While supposedly eulogizing the late diplomat, Mrs. Clinton took the opportunity to interject some of her characteristically acerbic partisan anger, warning that “fascism” could take over the United States if not enough is done to prevent “dictators and demagogues” from holding sway, in what many viewed as a reference to Trump and those who support him and his policies.

Suggesting that Albright herself would surely concur with such a take, Clinton said, “She knew better than most and she warned us in her book on fascism that yes, it can happen here and time and courage are of the essence.”

“If Madeleine were here with us today,” Clinton assured the mourners gathered at Washington National Cathedral, “she would also remind us this must be a season of action,” adding that the country must “defend democracy at home just as vigorously as we do abroad.”

Former President Bill Clinton also took the podium at the service for the female diplomat, who died last month at the age of 84, suggesting that Albright would not want her fellow Americans to become complacent because “freedom and democracy and the rule of law are not permanently enshrined just because we’ve survived 200-plus years” and echoing the sentiments expressed by his wife.

The Clintons are part of a long line of Democrat politicians eager to capitalize on a funeral service to score political points, a practice that was perfectly embodied by former President Barack Obama during the 2020 memorial for the late civil rights leader and Congressman John Lewis, as Fox News noted at the time.

During his eulogy for Lewis, Obama made incendiary references to the police-involved death of George Floyd, supposed voter suppression, and the Trump administration’s response to violent protests and looting.

“George Wallace may be gone, but we can witness our federal government sending agents to use tear gas and batons against peaceful demonstrators,” Obama railed, drawing the ire of conservative commentators who found the entire spectacle to be in incredibly poor taste.

As Dr. Alveda King, niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., remarked at the time, those on the left cannot seem to shake their shameful tendency to “grab at any opportunity” to politicize most everything, even funerals, and the Clintons did nothing this week to prove otherwise.

So sick of the Clinton”s! Those two are nothing more than “Criminal Mobb Bosses” that get away with anything and everything; they have no values other than Power and Money! they have no Morals and no respect, a funeral is not a place to try and score political points!!! Their all show, all mouth, and nothing more than legalized liars, theives, and worlds biggest crooks, that no one will hold accountable, they know the Clintons could take them all down! Time someone held them accountable
