Hillary Clinton says she would endorse Joe Biden in 2024, further raising questions about Clinton’s own moves

The Democratic Party is stuck with President Joe Biden. Many are trying to distance themselves from the president, while others are interested in keeping up appearances.

Twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said she’d “endorse our sitting president” for re-election in 2024, The Hill reported. Ever the shrewd politician, the former Secretary of State attempted to paper over the fact that Biden is unpopular even within his own party.

“I would endorse our sitting president, yes, of course,” Clinton told NBC News’s Yamiche Alcindor Wednesday. “I mean, this is a silly question,” she said.

“Let’s go with the person most likely to win. Joe Biden beat in a huge landslide victory in the popular vote Donald Trump. I think that says a lot,” Clinton claimed.

Biden is unpopular among voters, but even fellow politicians are beginning to move away from supporting a 2024 run. Besides his historically dismal approval rating, many are concerned about the president’s age, health, and inability to get voters excited to turn out in elections for him, the New York Times reported.

Clinton attempted to hammer home the importance of voting for Democrats in 2024 in light of the decision to overturn the Roe v. Wade decision. “It is about elections,” Clinton said. “I mean, people act as though we should do everything except talk about electing people who will stand up against this kind of regressive pushback.”

Though Biden hasn’t formally announced his bid for re-election, the president and White House aides have assured Americans that he will be the candidate. Vice President Kamala Harris also walked back comments she made, insinuating that he would not run for good measure.

There’s still a chance that Biden won’t make it to 2024, whether physically or politically, and Democrats are scrambling to figure out what to do. Perhaps Clinton is attempting to show solidarity before swooping in to jump into Biden’s grave.

I wouldn’t trust anything Clinton said or did. She is only interested in her self – political gains. She will pull the rug out from anyone if it would better herself.
