Hillary Clinton criticized for claiming she had 'zero' classified emails

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton received criticism on Tuesday for claiming she had zero classified emails on her private server.

Clinton shared the comment on a Twitter thread on Tuesday.

"I can't believe we're still talking about this, but my emails…" Clinton tweeted. "As Trump's problems continue to mount, the right is trying to make this about me again. There's even a 'Clinton Standard.' The fact is that I had zero emails that were classified."

She added, "Comey admitted he was wrong after he claimed I had classified emails. Trump's own State Department, under two different Secretaries, found I had no classified emails."

Clinton's account stands in contrast with a 2018 Justice Department report that noted nearly 200 classified emails.

The attempt to clear her name has seemed to backfire, though Twitter is likely to flag the information as false regardless of what she claims.
