The climate change lunacy has officially reached new heights, thanks to the ruling from the Hawaii Supreme Court. 

According to the Daily Caller, the court recently rendered the first ruling that states humans have climate change rights. Specifically, the ruling stated that humans have a right to a "life-sustaining climate system."

The outlet noted:

The case was brought by Hu Honua Bioenergy against the Public Utilities Commission (PUC), which regulates all utility companies operating within the state, after the regulator denied the company’s plan to enter into a power purchasing agreement with Hawaii Electric Light Company (HELCO).

Associate Justice Todd Eddins wrote in his ruling that citizens have a "right to a clean and healthful environment," after upholding the regulator's decision on the matter.

The case has reportedly lasted some six years, having begun when "environmental advocacy group Life of the Land appealed the PUC’s initial approval of the project to the Hawaii Supreme Court, which the court then sent back to PUC."

Associate Justice Michael Wilson bolstered his colleague's opinion, writing that we face a "climate emergency." He added that such a circumstance means the "lives of our children and future generations are at stake."

Wilson added: "Given the climate emergency, and the need to limit atmospheric CO2 concentrations to below 350 ppm in order to leave Hawai‘i’s future generations a habitable earth, approval of the amended PPA would violate the people of Hawai‘i’s right to a life-sustaining climate system."

It wasn't clear what scientific background either justice had to make a determination on such emergencies.
