North Dakota Republican Sen. Kevin Cramer claimed West Virginia Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin saved the Democrats by pledging to oppose President Joe Biden’s Build Back Better spending plan.

“But it is — in my mind, what’s the — such a great tragedy about is that a once-great Democratic Party has become this bizarre socialist agenda, where they seem to be putting all the chips on the table this year while they have control of the House, the Senate and the White House,” Cramer said.
“And thank God for Joe Manchin and others like him, but especially Joe Manchin, who is trying to save America and in the process may very well save the Democratic Party,” he added.
Rumors have also circulated that New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will run against Senate House Majority Leader Chuck Schumer in 2022.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is basing the votes that he calls — including on Build Back Better — on the possibility that Rep. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., will challenge him in the 2022 New York primary, Sen. Kevin Cramer said Sunday.

The progressive squad member could take advantage of Schumer’s losses in the Senate.
The following year could also become a year of losses for Democrats in the House, where House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) faces the potential of a complete rout during the 2022 midterms.
