Kentucky Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell said on Wednesday that President Joe Biden will not be removed from office over his failed exit from Afghanistan.
“Well, look the president is not going to be removed from office … I think the way these behaviors get adjusted in this country is at the ballot box,” the Wall Street Journal.
“There isn’t going to be an impeachment,” McConnell added.

McConnell’s response comes as nearly 40 GOP leaders have now called for Biden’s resignation following the events in Afghanistan.
“There isn’t going to be an impeachment,” McConnell said, “but I think [Democrats] have a good chance of a very bad election next year,” the New York Post reported.
Many Americans may be upset by McConnell’s statements, but his words are accurate. Without strong Democrat support, any move regarding impeachment lacks the needed votes to move forward.
Instead, many Americans will choose to weaken Biden’s power in Washington by electing Republicans in the House and Senate during the 2022 midterms, and begin to look forward to the 2024 presidential election as an opportunity to choose new leadership.
