GOP lawmaker says Biden must take cognitive test

During the 2020 campaign, the cognitive capability of now-President Joe Biden was a topic of concern to many, but now that he sits in the Oval Office, and Republican Rep. Jerry Carl (AL) is calling on the commander in chief to submit to testing to prove that he is up to the job, as Breitbart reports.

In an interview with FM Talk 106.5 in Mobile, Carl explained that he and fellow GOP congressman Ronny Jackson (TX) – who also served as White House physician under former President Donald Trump – believe Biden ought to take a cognitive test of the sort his predecessor took during his time in office, citing the “decay” they say the current president has suffered in recent months.

Carl justified the call for cognitive testing by saying, “the only way the American people can find out what is going on – because Biden is not running his office up here. He’s got all the lobbyists and bureaucrats up here running it and putting these deals together for him. We want him to take a simple cognitive test.”

Offering to take such a test himself for purposes of comparison, Carl added, “I’ve got my staff checking to see if I can take one. If I can judge him by his, I’ll let people judge me by mine. I think that’s fair. There’s a huge decline going on with him right now.”

Earlier this month, a group of 14 Republican legislators led by Jackson sent the president a letter and recommended he allow the public to see the outcome, as USA Today noted. In it, the undersigned lawmakers declared, “We believe that, regardless of gender, age, or political party, all presidents should follow the precedent set by former President Trump to document and demonstrate sound mental abilities.”

Difficulty reading prepared speeches, confusion in public settings, and a strange, whispering delivery seen in recent press conferences are all things that have prompted many to question Biden’s cognitive state. In addition, his frequent admissions that he will “get in trouble with staff” if he goes off-script during media availabilities has been seen as an indication that the White House itself lacks sufficient confidence in his mental acuity.

Back in 2020, the possibility of a cognitive test was posed directly to then-candidate Biden, leading to an infamous exchange in which he bizarrely likened the question to him asking the journalist – Errol Barnett of CBS – whether he was cocaine addict.

“No, I haven’t taken a test. Why the hell would I take a test? Come on, man,” Biden responded sharply, adding, “That’s like saying to you, before you got on this program if you had taken a test were you taking cocaine or not. What do you think, huh? Are you a junkie?”

The fate of Carl’s request remains to be seen, but if the past is any indication, Biden and his handlers will go to great lengths to try and keep his true status from the public for as long as possible. Given the jaw-dropping nature of many of his recent appearances, however, their ability to do so may be rapidly dwindling.

I quit working at shoprite to work online and with a little effort I easily bring in around $45 to 85 per/h. Without ADt a my doubt, this is the pay easiest and most financially rewarding job I’ve ever had. I actually started 6 months ago and this has totally changed my life………… 𝐖𝐰𝐰.𝐉𝐨𝐛𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐡𝟏.𝐜𝐨𝐦

My last paycheck was $2500 for working 12 hours a week online. My sisters friend has been averaging 8k for months now and she works about 30 hours a week. I can’t believe how easy it was once I tried it out. The potential with this is endless.
This is what I do >>> 𝐖𝐰𝐰.𝐖𝐞𝐛𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐡𝟏.𝐂𝐨𝐦
