Abortion is a barbaric practice. As if it couldn’t get worse, what they were doing with the corpses is absolutely horrendous — and possibly criminal.
GOP candidate Sean Parnell, who is running to represent Pennsylvania in the U.S. Senate, just used his platform to call for an investigation into the University of Pittsburgh for allegedly harvesting organs while the unborn babies’ hearts were still beating, Breitbart reported. Parnell called the practice “horrific” and “evil.”
“I saw some news that the University of Pittsburgh was conducting research on extracting kidneys from unborn babies … extracting their kidneys while their hearts were still beating, in the University of Pittsburgh, in my backyard,” Parnell told host Matthew Boyle on Breitbart News Saturday, citing documents Judicial Watch and the Center for Medical Progress released last week. “That’s horrific. That’s evil.”
Pitt reportedly received $2.7 million taxpayer dollars to become a “tissue hub,” collecting samples from unborn babies from 6 weeks gestation up to 42 weeks — well past what’s considered a full-term pregnancy. The institution collected organ samples including “urinary and genital” tissue.
“There absolutely needs to be a full-scale investigation, and I think in the meantime funding needs to be revoked, and if there’s any truth at all to these allegations, that criminal charges need to be leveled,” the candidate said. “This is some of the most horrific stuff I’ve ever seen, and I was in combat in Afghanistan for 16 months,” the Army veteran said.
Parnell, whose bid to unseat Rep. Conor Lamb (D-PA) previously failed, will be vying for the seat that will be vacating by retiring Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA). Lamb is in the “personally opposed to abortion” camp but voted against born-alive legislation.
These proposals simply require a standard of care is given to babies who are born alive despite doctors’ best efforts to abort them. Parnell considers Lamb’s opposition to those measures a weakness politically and morally
“And I’m not trying to make this political because I really do truly believe this is a good versus evil thing, but Conor Lamb just got in the Senate race here in Pennsylvania,” Parnell said. “Now Conor Lamb voted against the Born-Alive Act twice,” he pointed out. “The Born-Alive Act would stop horrific stuff like this,” Parnell said.
Abortion is violent and evil, but the practice of essentially completing the abortion by removing organs from a baby who is still alive is utterly barbaric. There should be a criminal investigation if any of this is true, and it’s refreshing to hear a Republican speak like this on abortion.
