Fox News and other outlets praised Cassidy Hutchinson’s testimony to the J6 committee despite Secret Service agents discrediting the message.
Hutchinson was a White House aide near the end of the Trump administration.

“During a surprise hearing of the January 6 committee, Hutchinson claimed White House Deputy chief of staff Tony Ornato told her former President Donald Trump tried to commandeer the presidential Suburban during the capitol riot and became upset when Secret Service agent Bobby Engel tried to stop him,” Breitbart News reported.
“Hutchinson claimed that Trump, “said something to the effect of, ‘I’m the effing president, take me up to the Capitol now,'” it added.
BREAKING: Former White House lawyer Eric Herschmann says that it is not true that Cassidy Hutchinson wrote the handwritten note that she testified on Tuesday that she wrote. He says it’s not true because he was the one who wrote the note. https://t.co/jBBtnOwzTn

The strange embracement of the aide’s controversial and contradictory testimony seems to highlight the bias of the left, even in some traditionally conservative outlets.
The new testimony also shows the committee is largely focused on Trump impeachment 3.0 rather than truly investigating what happened on Jan. 6.
