Fox commentator believes Joe Biden is setting the stage to pardon Hunter Biden

Miranda Devine, a well-known conservative analyst on Fox News, has offered concern that President Biden might pardon his son Hunter Biden.

The first son's business dealings are getting more and more attention being brought to the first family due to headlines focusing on the potential for fraud among the first family, according to a report by The Conservative Brief.

According to a story by Fox News Digital, the President's appointees at the Department of Justice have been thinking about the chance of going after an indictment after a multi-year government investigation.

"That mythology of Joe Biden that's been around for more than four decades, which is that he's a lovely family man… moderate Democrat, lunch pail Joe, working class Joe, the poorest man in Congress, and a wonderful family man full of empathy because of the tragedies in his own life. That's what he's playing on," Devine said Sunday.

"I think the end game is that he's setting up… framing this sympathy card so that when it comes time, perhaps in his lame duck period, that he will pardon Hunter and Americans will forgive him," Devine went on.

"Well, Hunter was a drug addict and Joe just loves his family, and he's been through enough tragedy in his life," she continued. "Leave him alone."

Hunter Biden's legal problems appear to have come as a surprise to the Biden administration, which has been feverishly working to get the media to focus on its policy goals.

Despite the challenges, during a recent interview, Biden did eventually talk about the possibility that his son could be charged, and he denied that it could impact how he does his job.

"My son has done nothing wrong," Biden said during the sit-down interview with MSNBC's Stephanie Ruhle that aired at 10 p.m. Friday. "I trust him. I have faith in him, and it impacts my presidency by making me feel proud of him," he continued.

There could be plenty at stake for the Biden family since Hunter's legal snafu could stand in the way of the administration's reputation and take the press away from its policy goals.

"It's obviously rehearsed, and the plan for Joe Biden is to just remove himself entirely from the influence peddling operation that he was involved in with his son Hunter and his brother Jim, pretend that it has nothing to do with him, and that Hunter is just being persecuted in a political witch hunt," Devine said.

"That's probably the only way he can go, considering he's lied about his involvement since before the 2020 election," she continued.

The commentator's warning serves as a reminder that Biden could take steps to protect the first-son from the results of what is being done by his Department of Justice.

It is not currently clear how the situation will turn out or if the Department of Justice will charge the person in question.
