Many in the left-leaning mainstream media would love for you to believe that voter and ballot fraud is nothing more than conspiracy theory.
However, there seems to be a somewhat steady stream of reports since the 2020 election that prove otherwise. It may not be at the level that some said it was during and after the 2020 election, but as was evidenced recently in Texas, there are still people being hit with serious voter fraud charges, according to News 4 San Antonio.
The latest incident involves Medina County Justice of the Peace Tomas Ramirez, who was arrested in early February along with three others, who are collectively facing a staggering 150 charges of counts of election and ballot fraud.
Some of the charges that Ramirez is facing include 17 counts of unlawful possession of a ballot or ballot envelope, one count of assisting voter voting ballot by mail, and one count of organized election fraud. It should be noted that it wasn’t made clear in which election Ramirez, and the others who were charged, allegedly committed the fraud.
According to KENS5, the now-suspended justice of the peace issued a statement in which he firmly denied the charges, even going as far as saying that he was “stunned” at the news of the serious charges.
“I was stunned by the allegations because there is absolutely no truth to them. I have spent the last 27 years building my law practice and serving in this community which has created my reputation for fairness, sincerity and integrity. I entered the race for JP because I wanted to serve Medina County and make the office function better for its citizens. I feel I have done exactly that up to this point. For people who know me, these allegations are absurd. To those who don’t, it provides reason to sneer and hate,” his statement read.
He went on to vow that he will “vigorously” defend himself from the charges.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton tweeted a statement over the weekend concerning the new charges, reminding Americans that ensuring voter integrity in the state was of the utmost importance.
“Voter fraud is real & is an attack on the integrity of our elections. The left tries to gaslight Americans into believing it doesn’t exist and isn’t bad. My office will continue to lead the way in protecting our elections by rigorously investigating & prosecuting all voter fraud,” Paxton tweeted.
