Former White House physician Ronny Jackson said President Joe Biden’s mental fitness for office was “dangerous” and that the president needed to undergo cognitive testing “immediately,” according to The Daily Wire.
The former White House physician, who served under both the Obama and Trump administrations, made his remarks after the president came under fire for remarks made in recent days regarding Russia’s war in Ukraine.
“Biden is unable to articulate the major foreign policy objectives of his administration,” Jackson tweeted this week. “Everytime [sic] he tries, the White House swoops in to ‘correct’ what he said. He has NO IDEA what’s going on. His cognitive decline is TOO MUCH. Time to RESIGN!”
“Is Joe Biden losing it? He’s always had ‘gaffes’ but what we’re seeing is something different – something WAY WORSE,” Jackson later added. “He’s LOST. This is dangerous. He needs a COGNITIVE EXAM immediately!”
Currently, Jackson represents Texas’ 13th Congressional District but his role as a White House doctor began in July 2013, a position that he served in until March 28, 2018. He also served as the director of the White House Medical Unit (WHMU) during the Bush administration in 2006 going forward.
The Texas representative previously criticized Biden’s mental fitness for office in the context of the war in Europe, saying that Biden was “not fit to be our president right now.”
“The whole country is seeing his mental cognitive issues on display for over a year now, and there’s really no question in most people’s minds that there’s something going on with him, that he’s not cognitively the same as he used to be and, in my mind, not fit to be our president right now,” Jackson said during an interview.
“Every time he gets up and talks to the American people, it’s not just the American people that are watching him speak, it’s the whole world, and that’s part of what the problem is here. He looks tired, he looks weak, he looks confused, he’s incoherent, and it sends a message of weakness all over the world, and they’re seizing up on that.”
“He’s got 40 years of tape, you can go back and look at this man, so it’s not like we don’t have anything to compare it to,” Jackson said. “You can go back and look, he’s always made gaffes, he’s always made missteps, but never like this. This is something different. These aren’t gaffes…. This is something much more serious.”
