President Joe Biden’s mishaps and missteps have been a running joke on the right. Now, it just isn’t funny anymore.
In a joint letter, 13 Republican lawmakers and former White House physician Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX) called on Biden to undergo cognitive testing, according to the Daily Caller. This request comes after continued whispers about Biden’s mental fitness for office.

“The American people should have absolute confidence in their President. They deserve to know that he or she can perform the duties of Head of State and Commander in Chief,” the letter shared on Twitter stated. It was addressed to White House physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, Biden, and Chief Medical Advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci.
“They deserve full transparency on the mental capabilities of their highest elected leader,” the letter continued. “To achieve this, we urge you to submit to a cognitive test immediately.”
Jackson was former President Donald Trump’s doctor and urged Biden to take his predecessor’s lead in undergoing these tests and publishing them. “So my point is that President Trump had to submit to that, even when I was his physician. I mean, the precedent’s already been set,” Jackson told The Hill.
“We did it and President Trump did it. And Biden, in his position, and his medical team, need to follow the lead now.” Jackson said his concerns come after “everything that has been going on for the last year and a half” and added the Biden is “very confused all the time.”
The president is the oldest to be elected at 78-years-old. Biden has had some troubling memory lapses like forgetting the name of his Defense Secretary. He blundered the preamble to the Declaration of Independence and mixed up Air Force One and Air Force Two, the Daily Mail reported.
If Biden is as fit for office as everyone on the left claims, there should be no reason not to submit to such tests. The problem is that even if he’s relatively sharp for his age, he’s still an elderly man and would be better suited to spending time relaxing with his family than being the leader of the free world.
