A former White House aide during the Trump administration says she can confirm that former President Donald Trump agreed that former Vice President Mike Pence deserved hanging for not objecting to the 2020 election results.
Alyssa Farah, former White House communications director, shared the remarks Sunday on CNN.

“I can confirm — I heard from somebody with firsthand knowledge that he agreed with the sentiment that they should hang Mike Pence,” Farah said.
“What he was truly instigating with this Capitol riot was the potential attack on the line of succession. It wasn’t just Mike Pence — it was also Speaker [Nancy] Pelosi whose life was at risk that day,” she added.

Pence was at the Arizona-Mexico border over the weekend to highlight border security issues. The former vice president is speculated to be planning a 2024 run for president, perhaps against his former boss.
While many Trump supporters view Pence with disdain, he was the highest-ranking Republican who followed through on the legal decisions on Jan. 6 despite the chaotic actions of the day.
