Following his inappropriate handling of classified materials, Joe Biden will head a new initiative to protect sensitive information

Following the improper handling of classified information, President Joe Biden issued an order on Friday instructing the military and the intelligence community to take procedures to further protect sensitive information.

It was revealed in April that sensitive information had been posted on Twitter, 4Chan, and Telegram, and that this information appeared to have originated from the social media network Discord, according to Breitbart News.

Some of the documents revealed that the United States was concerned about Ukraine's fight against Russia. Other records included intelligence indicating that the United States had spied on Israel and South Korea.

The classified information has caused embarrassment for the military as well as the intelligence community since it has shone light on data that appears to contradict the communication that was presented to the American public.

“I commend the rapid action taken by law enforcement to investigate and respond to the recent dissemination of classified U.S. government documents,” Biden said.

“While we are still determining the validity of those documents, I have directed the military and intelligence community to take steps to further secure and limit distribution of sensitive information, and our national security team is closely coordinating with our partners and allies,” he added.

The supposed leaker of the information has been accused of “unauthorized removal and retention of classified documents or material.” Attorney General Merrick Garland asserted Thursday charges are associated with “very serious penalties.”

The United States has been the victim of a number of information breaches over the course of the past year, which is what prompted Vice President Biden to issue the order to implement new security measures.

A draft ruling from the Supreme Court that would have reversed Roe v. Wade made its way into the press and was published.

CNN stated that roughly 90 persons were the only ones who might have seen the paper. The name of the person who leaked the information is currently unclear.

The allegations that Biden had stolen secret information from the Obama administration and hid it at the Penn Biden Center as well as his home in Delaware became public knowledge in the month of January.

According to Biden's former aide Kathy Chung, at least $54 million was contributed to the Penn Biden Center by persons or groups affiliated to the Chinese Communist Party between 2014 and 2019, raising worries about who may have had access to the confidential materials stashed in an open closet.

In the wake of the discoveries, Garland assigned Robert Hur, a special counsel, the responsibility of looking into the incident. Notably, the incident involving the confidential documents was revealed to the public by CBS News on January 9, 2019, some weeks after the first cache of documents was discovered in November by Biden's personal attorneys.

At least three times, the establishment media has claimed that Biden and the DOJ agreed to keep the issue hidden from public view, and there are likely no plans to publish it in the foreseeable future.
