Democrats are apoplectic that Republican governors are shipping illegal immigrants to their cities and states. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis had some choice words for those politicians.

DeSantis hammered the hypocrisy of Democratic leaders upset that illegal immigrants are being sent to their so-called "sanctuary" cities and states, The Free Press reported. On Thursday, DeSantis sent two planeloads full of illegal immigrants to Martha's Vineyard.

"If you have folks that are inclined to think Florida is a good place, our message to them is that we are not a sanctuary state," DeSantis said from Niceville, Florida. "It's better to be able to go to a sanctuary jurisdiction, and yes, we will help facilitate that transport for you, to be able to go to greener pastures," he said.

President Joe Biden has done nothing to stem the tide of migrants crossing the border as the situation gets worse. As both a solution and protest, DeSantis sent illegal immigrants to a place that said it would shield them from deportation.

Republican Govs. Doug Ducey in Arizona and Greg Abbott in Texas have similarly caught the ire of Democrats after moving migrants to their blue cities. Mayor Lori Lightfoot in Chicago called Abbott "unpatriotic and un-American," while New York Mayor Eric Adams said the program was "horrific."

DeSantis slammed these mayors for their hypocrisy. "All those people in D.C. in New York were beating their chests when Trump was president, saying they were so proud to be sanctuary jurisdictions saying how bad it was to have a secure border," DeSantis said.

"The minute even a small fraction of what those border towns deal with every day is brought to their front door, they all of a sudden go berserk, and they're so upset that this is happening, and it just shows you, you know, their virtue signaling is a fraud," he added before blaming the president. "What would be best is for Biden to do his damn job and secure the border," DeSantis said.

Democrats are eager to welcome migrants. However, it seems that's only true when they don't have to suffer the consequences.
