First lady Jill Biden wore rosary beads while promoting contraception in Kenya, the Western Journal reported. Not only is this against the customary purpose of the beads, which are used for prayer, but Biden did so while promoting activity considered to be gravely sinful.
President Joe Biden likes to trot out his supposed Catholic bona fides despite his apostasy, and his wife is no different. Last week, Jill Biden embarked on a five-day trip to Kenya and Namibia, ostensibly promoting the "empowerment of women and youth."
The first lady made a stop at the Shujaaz Konnect Festival, which is hosted byU.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, the MTV Staying Alive Foundation, the Shujaaz Inc. media corporation, and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). She made remarks during a watch party for the drama television show "MTV Shuga."
The youth-oriented program pushes "sexual and reproductive health and rights," otherwise known as contraception and abortion. Jill Biden incongruously donned her rosary beads while complimenting youth there for their concern about "safe dating and safe sex," otherwise known as sterilized fornication.
"[I] really applaud you for wanting to learn more about PREPFAR and HIV/AIDS and financial literacy and safe dating and safe sex," the first lady said, according to LifeSite News. PEPFAR was created by then-President George W. Bush in 2003 to help African countries grappling with AIDS death.
“You know, these are issues that really all people need to talk about them," Jill Biden went on. "Yet, somehow, they don’t, and the consequences of not talking about it are so dire," she added.
"So, I love seeing the young people here." In Africa, AIDS still remains a significant cause of death, though encouraging more sex outside of marriage through contraception is the exact wrong prescription to beat the epidemic.
It's also a tone-deaf and subversive message to give in Kenya, which is 85% Christian. Moreover, more than one-third of those Christians are Catholic, meaning the message of so-called "safe sex" is particularly scandalous.
Jill Biden is not Catholic herself, but she should know better, considering her husband claims to be a staunch believer. Both push the transgender agenda as well as abortion and contraception against the official teachings of the Catholic Church.
"In questions of birth regulation, the sons of the Church, faithful to these principles, are forbidden to use methods disapproved of by the teaching authority of the Church in its interpretation of the divine law," a document from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops explained. "The varieties of crime are numerous: all offenses against life itself, such as murder, genocide, abortion, euthanasia and willful suicide...they poison civilization; and they debase the perpetrators more than the victims and militate against the honor of the Creator."
"The regulation of births represents one of the aspects of responsible fatherhood and motherhood," it went on. "Legitimate intentions on the part of the spouses do not justify recourse to morally unacceptable means (for example, direct sterilization or contraception)."
Still, after the Roe v. Wade decision was overturned last year, the president announced that he would "codify Roe as federal law," Joe Biden said in July 2022, according to a White House transcript. He also promised the government would fund birth control.
"Right now, in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, the Affordable Care Act guarantees insurance coverage for women’s health services, including — including free birth control," Joe Biden said. "The executive order directs HHS to identify ways to expand access to reproductive health services, like IUDs, birth control pills, emergency contraception."
Jill Biden wore a sacred symbol of Catholicism while spewing opinions antithetical to it. This is not surprising coming from people like the Bidens, but it's disheartening and despicable just the same.
