Sure, food and gas prices are nearly unaffordable and we're on the brink of World War III, but the Biden administration seems much more concerned about your gas stove. 

According to The Washington Times, the Consumer Product Safety Commission, a federal regulatory agency, appears to be taking action to advance tackling at least the sales of new gas stove appliances.

The Washington Times explained:

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has approved a request for information about health hazards posed by gas stove emissions and potential solutions from Commissioner Richard Trumka Jr., a Biden appointee who proposed banning the appliances before the agency walked back his comments.

"The trust between CPSC and the American consumer exists because actions like the one we take today make clear that we only act in service to consumer safety," Mr. Trumka said in a statement. "This Request for Information furthers our commitment to American consumers because step one in confronting a potential hazard is understanding its scope and the options for addressing it."

The outlet noted that such a request is indicative of the procedural steps that usually come before more regulatory actions are taken.

This particular phase of the process comes in the form of seeking feedback, both from scientists and consumers.

One can only imagine how consumers will react to the ludicrous idea of the government cracking down on gas stoves and other gas appliances, which are used by tens of millions of Americans on a daily basis.

Those who have joined the crazy train and now believe gas stoves are the end of humanity claim that the appliances cause various respiratory issues, including asthma, especially among younger people.

According to the Times' reporting, some 40% of Americans use gas stoves, and as a result, the issue has created backlash from both sides of the political aisle, because it's not just Republican voters who own gas stoves.

Many of the initial reports regarding possible harm caused by the appliances have already been debunked, Fox News reported.

"When it comes to indoor air quality of cooking, the main driver of health risk is what you are cooking, not the fuel that you use to cook it," Dan Tormey, president of Catalyst Environmental Solutions and chief author of the report, told Fox News Digital in an interview.

"A secondary finding is that the most effective way to protect your health during indoor cooking is to have proper ventilation."
