America was ready to brace for an unprecedented, disastrous twist in the already-terrible immigration nightmare at the southern border -- that is, until a federal judge provided some relief.
According to The Hill, the "Remain in Mexico" Trump-era policy that allowed for rapid deportations and was considered a crucial tool in controlling the situation at the border, was set to be formally eliminated by the Biden administration.
The Hill noted: "Under the policy, which was enacted in 2019 and is formally known as the Migrant Protection Protocols, asylum-seekers — including those not from Mexico — have been sent to Mexico to await proceedings in their cases."
While the Supreme Court intervened earlier this year, allowing the Biden administration to move forward with ending the policy, the high court returned the matter back to lower courts.
U.S. District Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk was tasked with "determining whether the administration's action was "arbitrary and capricious" in violation of the Administrative Procedure Act, which governs how federal agencies develop and issue regulations.
The ruling was in response to a lawsuit filed by Texas and Missouri.
The federal judge ruled that Texas, one of the plaintiffs, "met all requirements for a preliminary injunction to be issued: a likelihood to succeed on the merits of its argument, a likelihood of irreparable harm, the balance of equities tipping in its favor and the public interest being in favor."

"This action has a complex procedural history, having gone from this Court to the Fifth Circuit, to the Supreme Court, and back to this Court on remand," the judge's decision read.
With Title 42 set to be lifted next week by the Biden administration, even left-leaning media outlets are sounding the alarm of the onslaught of illegal migrants ready to hop the border without consequence.
"Migrants are anticipating the end of a public-health rule known as Title 42, which has left some biding time in Mexico. Migrants have been denied rights to seek asylum under U.S. and international law 2.5 million times since March 2020 on grounds of preventing the spread of COVID-19," ABC News reported.

America is in for a long, dangerous ride when this happens.
The border towns will take the hardest hit, and sadly, they've already been depleted because of the onslaught of illegals crossing the border over the past two years. One can only imagine what the next two years will look like.
