Fauci signals possible end to COVID lockdowns

Dr. Anthony Fauci has some good news stating that The United States is on its way out of the “full-blown” pandemic for COVID-19, according to The Washington Examiner

The White House Chief Medical Adviser has been the subject of widespread criticism due to his constant dark forecasting regarding the pandemic prognosis.

However, the medical adviser is now advising the American people that the vaccination rates, treatments, and prior infections are making the years-long pandemic possibly less confining for everyday citizens.

“As we get out of the full-blown pandemic phase of COVID-19, which we are certainly heading out of, these decisions will increasingly be made on a local level rather than centrally decided or mandated,” the doctor said, according to the Examiner.

“There will also be more people making their own decisions on how they want to deal with the virus,” Fauci said in a Financial Times interview published Tuesday.”

The medical adviser said that he hopes that the restrictions will end soon, and noted that he agrees it will likely be this year.

“In fact, states are already beginning to lift pandemic rules as surges associated with the omicron variant die down,” the Examiner reported.

“That includes California, where an indoor mask mandate is set to expire in less than two weeks, and school mask mandates are coming to an end in other states.”

This could be a sign that the Biden Administration is possibly coming around to the opinion of Republicans, such as Sen. Rand Paul, who has been calling for an end to COVID-19 lockdowns for months.
