Fauci says he would not serve in White House if Trump wins in 2024

Dr. Anthony Fauci said he would not serve in the White House if Donald Trump is elected president in 2024.

Fauci made the comment during a CNN interview on Sunday.

“If you look at the history of what the response was during the administration, I think, you know, at best, you can say it wasn’t optimal. And I think just, history will speak for itself about that,” Fauci said.

Fauci has served in government roles since the 1980s and is currently the highest-paid employee by the federal government.

Fauci and Trump have had many clashes in the past regarding COVID-19, testing, lockdowns, and related issues. Trump has not yet announced whether he will run for president again, but has fueled speculation through his ongoing rallies and public statements in recent months across the nation.

The announcement is not surprising, but for some conservatives who already dislike Fauci, the news could give them another reason to support Trump in 2024.
