Tesla CEO Elon Musk revealed on Monday that he would vote Republican during the midterm elections despite supporting Democrats in the past.
Musk shared the information on Monday during a tech conference in Miami.

“The reality is that Twitter at this point, you know, has a very far left bias,” Musk said. “I would classify myself as a moderate, neither Republican nor Democrat.”
“I have voted overwhelmingly for Democrats, historically — I’m not sure, I might never have voted for a Republican, just to be clear,” the SpaceX CEO continued. “Now this election I will.”

The new information comes as Musk seeks to finalize his purchase of Twitter, a social platform he has said is clearly liberal in its current bias.
The announcement may continue to lead to attacks on him from the left, but has made him a hero to those who embrace freedom of speech.
