Sen. Elizabeth Warren has announced that she will run for re-election in 2024, Breitbart reported. The 73-year-old Massachusetts Democrat will seek a third U.S. Senate term with $2.3 million in her war chest.
Warren won the seat in 2012 against Republican Scott Brown, who was the incumbent. She heads into her reelection campaign with significant cash on hand and the endorsement of Massachusetts Democrats like Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) and Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA).
“We’ve won some big victories for working families in Massachusetts and across the country, but there’s a lot more to do," Warren captioned her video posted to Twitter Monday. "So today I’m making it official: I’m running for reelection to keep up the fight."
The video itself is slickly produced and meant to appeal to the young and hip. "Across Massachusetts, Elizabeth makes sure we have a choice," a supposed Warren voter said in the video.
"Elizabeth doesn't f--- around. She's always in our corner," another man says.
“I first ran for Senate because I saw how the system is rigged for the rich and powerful and against everyone else," Warren claimed. "I won because Massachusetts voters know it, too."
"And now I’m running for Senate again because there’s a lot more we’ve got to do," Warren said before rattling off a list of leftist pet causes like adding a "wealth tax" and fighting "extreme Republicans." However, there was a time when Warren was a GOP voter before she became a rabid progressive Democrat, Politico reported.

With this video, the twice-failed presidential candidate officially put to rest speculation that she would be running for president in 2024. Rumors swirled when Warren first demurred from supporting Vice President Kamala Harris in a possible reelection bid with President Joe Biden, Fox News reported.
Biden has not officially announced his reelection campaign, but Warren was asked whether he would support Harris remaining as his running mate given the vice president's unpopularity. "I really want to defer to what makes Biden comfortable on his team," Warren said.
"I’ve known Kamala for a long time. I like Kamala," Warren said as the setup.
"I knew her back when she was an attorney general and I was still teaching, and we worked on the housing crisis together, so we go way back. But they need — they have to be a team, and my sense is they are — I don’t mean that by suggesting I think there are any problems. I think they are," Warren explained.
After such an apparent snub, Warren was forced to release a statement to walk it all back. "I fully support the president’s and vice president’s re-election together and never intended to imply otherwise," Warren said.
"They’re a terrific team with a strong record of delivering for working families." Still, insiders claimed Harris was fuming after being overlooked.
A leftist like Warren shouldn't have trouble keeping her seat in Massachusetts this time around. However, there's always a threat of a down-ballot effect if the American people reject another Biden-Harris term in 2024.
