Based on his actions last night, Dr. Anthony Fauci’s motto seems to be “masks and social distancing for thee, but not for me.”
After throwing out a (wild) first pitch at the opening game between the Washington Nationals and New York Yankees, Fauci settled down to watch the game – a privilege that he’s been instrumental in denying other Americans.

But while watching, Fauci showed just how out of touch he is. Despite being the figurehead for advocacy for social distancing and mask usage, Fauci did neither.
And there’s Dr. Anthony Fauci showing us all he knows exactly how well masks work! Thanks for the lesson, doc. pic.twitter.com/jdHPzq5HfB

Understandably, people were upset.
Nothing screams “I’m a fraud!” more than being against masks until your fans demanded them, lying about why you were originally against them, signaling your virtue by needlessly wearing 1 while throwing out 1st pitch (poorly & like a fame whore) & then doing THIS! #FauciTheFraud pic.twitter.com/s9M1y4GYLd

Fauci’s slipup follows a similar one by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, who has been emphatic about punishing New Yorkers who don’t wear masks.
Cuomo and Fauci’s failure to do what they’re asking others to do is indicative of just how little respect the ruling class has for ordinary Americans. They don’t believe the rules should apply to them, but they’ll ruin your life or livelihood if you don’t follow them exactly.
