Donald Trump predicts he will be arrested on Tuesday

According to former President Donald Trump, "illegal leaks" indicate that he is going to be arrested on Tuesday.

Trump said as much in a message that he posted to Truth Social on Saturday.

Trump wrote:

NOW ILLEGAL LEAKS FROM A CORRUPT & HIGHLY POLITICAL MANHATTAN DISTRICT ATTORNEYS OFFICE, WHICH HAS ALLOWED NEW RECORDS TO BE SET IN VIOLENT CRIME & WHOSE LEADER IS FUNDED BY GEORGE SOROS, INDICATE THAT, WITH NO CRIME BEING ABLE TO BE PROVEN, & BASED ON AN OLD & FULLY DEBUNKED (BY NUMEROUS OTHER PROSECUTORS!) FAIRYTALE, THE FAR & AWAY LEADING REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE & FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!

A spokesperson for Trump also put out a similar statement.

The spokesperson said:

There has been no notification, other than illegal leaks from the Justice Dept. and the DA’s office, to NBC and other fake news carriers, that the George Soros-funded Radical Left Democrat prosecutor in Manhattan has decided to take his Witch-Hunt to the next level. President Trump is rightfully highlighting his innocence and the weaponization of our injustice system. He will be in Texas next weekend for a giant rally. Make America Great Again!

Whether or not Trump is actually going to be arrested has yet to be confirmed by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) or the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, which is led by Alvin Bragg. Neither has commented on Trump's revelation.

Bragg is investigating the incident from 2016 in which Trump - through his then-attorney Micheal Cohen - allegedly paid "hush money" to adult film star Stormy Daniels in order to stop her from revealing an affair that they allegedly had.

It is expected that any charges filed by Bragg will stem from this incident, although it is not clear what the charges could or will be.

Trump denies any wrongdoing, as he made abundantly clear in the above message that he posted.

Trump maintains that Bragg is a partisan actor and that Bragg's investigation of him is entirely political.

Trump, since he revealed that his arrest may be on the horizon, has received support from many top Republicans, including U.S. Sen. Linsey Graham (R-SC)

"They're making stuff up that they've never used against anybody because they hate Trump. That's what this is," Graham said.

Many, including Elon Musk, are arguing that, if Trump is actually arrested, it will be a huge boost to his 2024 presidential election campaign.

"If this happens, Trump will be re-elected in a landslide victory," Musk tweeted.
