Donald Trump kicks NBC News reporter off of Trump Force One

Former President Donald Trump kicked a "fake news" reporter off of his private Trump Force One plane last month, the Conservative Brief reported. NBC News reporter Vaughn Hillyard offended Trump by harping on Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s investigation of the former president.

The confrontation occurred on March 25 following a rally Trump gave in Waco, Texas. Hillyard reportedly first upset Trump when he remarked that the former president appeared “frustrated” by the ongoing legal battle in New York.

"I’m not frustrated by anything," Trump shot back. "What am I, frustrated? I just did a speech for two hours," Trump explained about his successful political rally.

"I’m not frustrated by it. It’s a fake investigation," Trump insisted.

"We did nothing wrong. I told you that. … It’s the exact opposite. This is fake news, and NBC is one of the worst at it. Don’t ask me any more questions," Trump told Hillyard.

Some time elapsed, and Trump reportedly doubled down on his criticism of the reporter. "I don’t want to talk to you. You’re not a nice guy," he told Hillyard.

The report also states Trump hurled aside the reporter's two phones, which were placed in front of him on the table. "Get him out of here," Trump can be heard saying in audio captured during the confrontation.

Aides ushered all of the journalists away from the scrum, although reports don't say whether that included Hillyard. Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung has insisted that there were "no negative incidents" between Trump and journalists.

This alleged altercation occurred shortly before Braggs took the unprecedented step to charge Trump with tampering with business records related to payments he made to former porn star Stormy Daniels. He was forced to show up at a Manhattan courthouse for his arraignment.

The 34-count indictment Braggs issued seems to be little more than an effort to throw anything at the wall that might stick. "Political Persecution and Election Interference at the highest level in history," Trump called it.

However, this plan may backfire if Democrats were hoping to take Trump out of the running against President Joe Biden in 2024. During the two weeks following the announcement that Bragg would indict him, Trump raked in an additional $15.4 million in fundraising, Fox News reported.

The network's Republican pollster Daron Shaw confirmed that news of the indictment "helped Trump quite a bit among Republican primary voters." She noted that these voters would "view the case as politically motivated, and it reanimates feelings that Trump is still fighting forces they see as corrupt and out of control."

There's a chance it will hurt Trump in the general election if he becomes the GOP nominee. Still, Trump thrives on an us-versus-them dynamic and could rally people of all political stripes to his cause.

Given how the legacy media has treated him, Trump was right to confront a leftist shill like Hillyard. The former president has never taken any of their attacks lying down -- and clearly, he isn't about to start now.
