Donald Trump breaks the peace, blasts Mitch McConnell for being "a disgrace," and failing to stop Democrats

Republican politicians have been selling out their voters for decades. Former President Donald Trump is not afraid to call them out on it.

Trump called Senate Minority Leader Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) "a disgrace" for failing to stop the Democrats' spending that has wrecked the economy, Breitbart reported. The former president made these remarks at a Youngstown, Ohio, rally on Saturday.

"What a disgrace," Trump said about Democrats' out-of-control spending spree that precipitated a massive tax hike. "They got four trillion dollars, and most of it is just wasted money," the former president said.

"Throw it right out the window. It's going to kill us with inflation," Trump added.

"McConnell should have used the debt ceiling [to stop it]," Trump later continued about the government spending. Late last year, McConnell could have allowed the U.S. to default on its loans but instead struck a deal with Democrats that allowed them to unilaterally increase the cap on spending giving them both a political win and more power, CNN reported at the time.

"I could have stopped that thing in one hour," Trump boasted. "But they'll [Democrats] will come back and use the debt ceiling on us," Trump predicted. "Mitch McConnell is a disgrace, and I hope you're going to do something about it, J.D.," he said to Ohio Republican Senate candidate JD Vance.

"He's a disgrace," Trump later emphasized about McConnell. "He could have stopped all of it."

In 2022 alone, Democrats and old-guard Republicans voted for trillions of dollars in new spending despite obvious concerns about inflation. Now ordinary citizens are facing a crisis that has them paying 13.5% more for things like groceries just in the past twelve months.

Trump is correct that the establishment Republicans like McConnell are largely to blame for allowing this to happen. It's only a matter of time before these politicians should start paying with their jobs, including McConnell.
